The Children’s Garden at London’s Kew Gardens is a playground of the most epic proportions. Covering an area the size of 40 tennis courts, the interactive space is designed to educate budding horticulturalists about the elements that plants need to survive. Here children between two and 12 years old can slide through worm hole tubes, explore a forest of spinning windflowers, hop between waterlily-shaped stepping stones or survey the scene from four metres above the ground on a walkway wrapped around an English oak tree. And they can do it all while learning about the role that earth, air, sun and water play in the plant life cycle.
