Rosewood Hotel, Kowloon, Hong Kong

An upscale spin on the casual Indian gastropub is opening at the Rosewood Hotel, with a menu drawing inspiration from the subcontinent’s rich street food tradition. The kitchen is headed up by Chef Manav Tuli, whose CV includes stints at London’s prestigious Chutney Mary and, most recently, as the Head Chef who helped Tamarind of Mayfair retain its Michelin star. Expect smoky tandoor undercurrents overlaid by the heady fragrance and fire of daily hand-ground spices. Chaat is the latest in a flurry of openings at the flagship Rosewood, including Chef Nathan Green’s Bayfare Social.
