Mahler's Symphony of a Thousand

Symphony Hall, Birmingham

18 – 19 January 2020

Sometimes the stars just align. The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra already has one of the UK’s most acoustically perfect concert halls, and with Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla as Music Director, it begins its centenary season under the leadership of one of the most dynamic figures in 21st century classical music. To crown it all, this celebratory performance of Mahler’s colossal choral Symphony of a Thousand features a really dazzling line-up of soloists, including Karen Cargill and the phenomenal Natalya Romaniw.
