the life and times of an urban bohemian in the city of the phoenix
…to spend on stuff I’ve seen online, here’s where it’d probably go.
bamboo wall decals from wall-print.com
I’ve been looking for something interesting but not too weird to do with the walls in my spare bedroom. I want to make it a combination spare room / relaxation area with an updated, Asian feel to it (I’m calling the room the ‘cherry blossom’). Ran across these a few weeks ago at ThisNext. At first I balked at the $70 price, but when I looked at the size (over 6 feet high / wide), I was sold. Much cheaper than paint, and a whole lot more fun.
Betty by Avenue You
If you color your hair (which I do), you may be dismayed that not all of your hair sports the same look. Well, fret no more. With Betty, you can now make your carpet match your drapes (or your lava lamp) with a safe, non-toxic solution. Even if you’re not interested in painting your pubes, this stuff has gotta be safe enough to use for eyebrows (or, would those be called valances?). $20
fred flare faux leather satchel
For only $10, this cute little bag has a lot of style, and the colors / shape / size make it one of those bags you can use almost everyday with every outfit. And, did I mention that it was only $10? Cuz it is.

Hi there boys and girls!
I know, I know. It’s been a long time since I last posted and I’ve been feeling terrible about it. But hey, it’s a busy time for the empire so I hope you’ll forgive me for slacking. Anyway, I thought I’d make it up to you by catching you up on all the goings-on with me over the last couple of weeks. Ready? Here goes.
Just a quick post to letcha know that I’ve decided to add 2 new categories to BonVivant Online:
Consumer Whore:
To be honest, I really don’t like shopping, at least not at traditional venues like malls and big box stores. But that doesn’t mean I don’t suffer from the same consumerist itch that everyone else does. This category will feature products and outlets that are one-of-a kind, great bargains, or just stuff I wish I could buy if I had the money.
SOTW (Seen on the Web):
I spend far too much time surfing, so it’s no surprise that I often come across things that are too entertaining, informative, or just plain ol’ ridiculous to keep to myself. Since I believe that the madness that exists on the internet must be spread like an unchecked virus, this will be my way of getting you to become an internet geek just like me…Mwaahahaaahhahahhaaa!
cheers,
k
