Tate Modern, London
Until 2 June 2019
At the opposite extreme from the quiet but intense paintings of Pierre Bonnard are the fantastical sculptures of Austrian artist Franz West. Six and a half years after his death, this show, designed by friend and collaborator, British artist Sarah Lucas, ably demonstrates his sense of mischief. One particular highlight: you’ll be able to handle replicas of his Paßstücke (Adaptives), a set of papier-mâché sculptures designed to be played with, cleverly upending the relationship between art and its audience.
