About

some people make living a science, others make it an art

art-and-lifebon vi·vant (bahn-vee-vahnt):
Etymology: French, literally,‘good liver’
Definition: noun; a person having cultivated, refined, and sociable tastes especially with respect to food and drink.

I created BonVivant Online as a way of chronicling and sharing my everyday experiences in and around Atlanta, GA.

BonVivant Online is all about living the ‘good life’. Not the ‘good life’ that focuses on extravagance and excess, but one that hones in on the simplest of life’s pleasures: a well-prepared meal, a song that resonates in your heart, a book that leaves a lasting impression, a trip that expands your horizons.

I subscribe to the simple philosophy of elevating the everyday to the elegant. The stories, insights, and ideas shared here are a reflection of that philosophy and are generally focused on one of the following categories:

  • Food & Drink – restaurant reviews, recipes, raves and rants
  • Travel – from local jaunts to international expeditions and everything in between
  • Art & Media – books, music, tv, film…art in all its various forms
  • Human Dynamic – anything having to do with the world and how we relate to it and each other
  • Shopping & Deals – local finds and steals
  • Work – masters in the art of living make little distinction between their work and their play
  • SOTW (Seen on the Web) – sightings of the informative, the enlightening and the bizarre on the interwebs

I hope that BonVivant Online will be an ongoing dialogue between me and my readers, as well as a resource for all who peruse these pages – a collection of guideposts to help you find your own taste of the good life.

See. Taste. Hear. Explore…Enjoy BonVivant Online.

Cheers,
