It’s been almost 4 years since the last Saadiq album, ‘Ray Ray’, was released. But when you consider that, since then, he’s lended his creative talents as musician and producer to the likes of : Floetry, Mary J. Blige, The Roots, Earth Wind and Fire, Vikter Duplaix, and John Mellencamp (whew! say that three times real fast), you realize that you only think you haven’t heard from him in a while.
Saadiq was also the driving force behind timeless, real-music tracks like:
Dance Tonight, and
With his latest release, ‘The Way I See It’, he takes timeless to a whole ‘nother level, bringing back the classic Motown sound of the 50s and 60s, along with collaborations with Jay-Z, Joss Stone, and Stevie Wonder.
